I just finished teaching a college class about beginning blogging basics.
These are bright energetic minds here on our campus and I have great expectations for the crafted words that will come forth from these eager young thinkers.
I told them that I was an idiot and that I really don't have any idea what I'm doing. I think they felt reassured by that. The blogging universe is open and inviting them to stand on their personal platforms and tell the world their stories.
I hope to read some of their blogs (or comments) very soon.

I can't believe they let you in the classroom!?!? What are they thinking?
Seriously, that's great. The potential is excellent and I only see this becoming a more viable and common means of communication for the next generation.
Did you show them your funky stuff?
The road to Stardom...
Step one: Attend Pauls Blogging 101 class.
Step two: see this entry from January 10, 2008. http://www.paulsfunkystuff.com/2008/01/i-love-this-guy.html
Step three: Let's not get carried away, the curriculum doesn't go that far yet.
uuuh huh, uuuh huh, uuuh huh, Yeah....are you with me now? ♪♪♪♪♪♪♪ One more time!!! This place has the funk that stuff is made of! Love it Paulie!!
Did you give the students any words of inspiration?
Inspiration? Hmmm? You would have to ask them if they were inspired. I only saw one person yawn. The biggest question seemed to be "Can I make money doing this?"
I told them that some people are doing this full time. They get up...stay in their underwear...and type all day. This seemed to inspire them.
Thanks for the comments.
Wrote a piece a while back about what seemed to be the emerging blogeratti
