Perspective

This is simply "Food for a Week" across the globe taken from "Hungry Planet, What the World Eats" by Peter Menzel.

Take your time and look at the following.

1. Size of the family - number of children, etc.
2. Amount of groceries purchased
3. Food variety
4. Cost for items purchased

(I am converting all foreign currency into US dollars for comparison)

1. Manzo Family - Sicily, Italy - Weekly Grocery Budget -$260.00

2. Melander Family - Bargteheide, Germany - $500.07

3. Revis Family - North Carolina, USA - $341.98

4. Casales Family - Cuernavaca, Mexico - $189.09

5. Ahmed Family - Cairo, Egypt - $68.53

6. Ayme Family - Tingo, Ecuador - $31.55

7. Namgay Family (13 of them) - Shingkhey Village, Bhutan - $5.03

8. The Aboubakar Family - Breidjing Camp, Chad - Weekly Grocery Budget - $1.23

Perhaps a shout out to the various national publications that have published this before would be in order? I dunno. Anyway, carry on.

We are doing a hunger awareness event soon for World Vision and I would like permission to use your site for my presentation.

This is amazing!
